I remember the Julie Newmar pantyhose ads (print ads; they never would have run such a commercial on TV in those days), with Julie modeling her own product. They had padding in the derriere to make the wearer look more "curvy".

Gets away from the classic TV aspect, but silent comedy star Harold Lloyd was a 3D photography buff.

There’s another hobby Loretta Swit has: she collected arcade video games and in fact, she owns one of the first Ms. Pac-Man games manufactured in the USA.
