Did the Darlings sing these songs on The Andy Griffith Show, or did we make them up?
As Briscoe Darling likes to say, ''A-one, and a-two, and a-way we go!''
It's always a treat on The Andy Griffith Show when the Darlings come to town. The singing Appalachian clan doesn't appear too often, but when they do, it always results in a bluegrass jam, a rare and welcome opportunity to see Sheriff Taylor really play his guitar.
In each of their six appearances on the show, the Darlings (played by the real-world bluegrass group the Dillards) brought a hefty handful of folk tunes down from the mountains that give cause for a solid foot-tapping and a roaring good time.
We've compiled a list of their songs -- and mixed in a few phony titles of our own.
Now we want to know: Did the Darlings sing these songs on The Andy Griffith Show, or did we make them up?
