Did these classic TV stars use their given names or stage names?

Were Denver and Alda on their birth certificates?

If you started a television career, would you use your given name? Some actors had little choice — the studios forced a stage name on them. Other stars were fortunate enough to turn their birth name into a household name.

Below, we've gathered some pairs from classic TV. Let's see if you can tell (or remember) if they were billed under the given name or a stage name. Good luck!

12 out of 14, and curiously enough, the two I missed were the Gunsmoke ones!

With regards to Cheryl Ladd...that could go either way. Ladd is her married name, which might make it her real name. But she DID act under her real last name of Stoppelmoor (on Ironside, The Rookies and Streets of San Francisco, to name a few shows) and also as Cherie Moore (when she was the voice of Melody in the Josie & the Pussycats cartoon). Maybe I'm overthinking this a little?

I quibble. Cheryl Ladd was her legal name, not a stage name. She was married to David Ladd.
YES!! Earlier in her career, she did use a stage name, Cherie Moor. But she started using her legal name - first Stoppelmoor and later Ladd - long before she earned her Angel wings!

You got 14 out of 14
Impressive! Perhaps you should change your name to "Ace"!

I missed Ken Curtis and Kate Jackson. So, 12 out of 14 -- not too shabby.

9/14; had to guess a lot - most were from shows I do not watch that often.

I would have thought that Dan Blocker was a stage name for sure! (It certainly described him.)
